This month-long online seminar program is hosted by authors, speakers, and social justice activists Patti Digh and Victor Lee Lewis, who was featured in the documentary film, The Color of Fear, with help from a community of people who want and are willing to help us understand the reality of racism by telling their stories and sharing their resources.

A conversation with Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter Helene Cooper is akin to a transatlantic adventure with an old-school journalist who has the inside stories. And she’s been in the trenches to get the stories.
In association with the the production run of Yemaya’s Belly, Cara Mía Theatre presents The Trauma of Displacement, Immigration and Deportation, a community conversation featuring personal stories and accounts of immigration, facilitated by Harold Steward. Authentic experiences will be shared by participants from Mosaic Family Services, Inc. and the Human Rights Initiative. Food provided by Chipotle.

The UTD Galerstein Women’s Center holds two Ally Trainings per semester, which provides a venue for LGBT+ people, Allies and participants to express concerns, ask questions, and learn about issues affecting the LGBT+ campus and surrounding community.SAFE ZONE Ally Training is open to all UT Dallas as well as community members.
The April 2017 Ally Training will be held on Monday, April 10, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. in Galaxy A & B (SU 2.602).
